Traditional container closure integrity tests (CCIT) bring uncertainty and probabilistic outcomes, hindering critical leak detection. The USP therefore recommends the use of deterministic CCIT methods in the form of non-destructive analytical measurements, that are ideal for testing throughout a product’s life cycle.
By combining deterministic methods with a risk-based approach, informed CCIT strategies in commercial manufacturing are made possible.
